A TEA PARTY BABY SPRINKLE

A whimsical, feminine and intimate day to celebrate the upcoming arrival of my baby girl, Lucy! This afternoon was a dream come true! Not only had I always dreamt of having my own baby girl, but getting to plan something so girly and special makes it one of my favorite parties to date. I wanted to keep this super small with just my closest girlfriends and some close family members and it made it all the more relaxed and intimate.

Before I knew I was pregnant I was at a gift shop and I saw a swan ring holder and something told me that I needed it for my future daughter’s nursery… I found out I was pregnant just 3 days later. That swan sits on her dresser now and it was my original inspiration for the sprinkle. Her upcoming arrival was going to be around Easter and I had started calling her my bunny and with that the idea of a garden style tea party with swan and bunny accents was born!

Enjoy the photos and the details of the day below….!

Photography: Emily Kranyak Photography Flowers: We built these bouquets with a variety of seasonal stems from Sammy’s Flowers & Whole Foods Cake & Cookies: Three Little Cupcakes - I knew that I wanted very neutral and soft pinks and of course the swans included! Look at those cookies!! Signage: Kailynn Summer Design - “Lucy in the sky With Diamonds” for my Lucy girl! I love this sign we rented it from Kailynn but I wish I would have just purchased it to use in my baby girl’s room. Lemonades: World Market Food: Since it was such a small group - my mom, sisters, MIL and I did all the food! We stuck to tea party food with small sandwiches, crackers, charcuterie, fruits and pasta salad! The benefit of a small in-home party is the ability to save on catering! Decor: Most of the decorations were decorations that my mom already had at home for Easter! The Vases were actually leftover from my wedding which was special to include and all of the tea sets and plates were passed down from my grandmother’s on both my mom and dad’s sides! I loved getting to use those tea sets as they will eventually become mine and then they will get passed from me to Lucy. We kept it low-key and sipped lemonade, tea, and pink champagne (for the non-pregnant ladies) snacked, and visited! I had pink scrunchies, pearl hair clips and a DIY bracelet station so each guest could leave with a few girly items they could look at and be reminded of my baby girl.
