DIY Streamer + Tablecloth Back-Drop
EASY EASY EASY! But SLIGHTLY time consuming - this is a great DIY decoration that you can (and I would suggest) do the night or day before an event! But if that’s not a possibility it’s easy enough that you can enlist help to hammer it out day of. I obviously only covered a window and would have added more layers had I had more materials on hand BUT this took me about an hour/hour and a half while I wrangled two toddlers.
SUPPLIES:
Plastic tablecloths (I had a few Target packs)
A few packs of streamers
String or rope to hang everything from
Scissors
Command hooks
Optional: fabric strips, banners, fans, balloons, etc!
DIRECTIONS:
Cut your tablecloths in vertical strips the entire length of the tablecloth (mine were probably about 3-4 inches wide but I wasn’t focused on keeping things too even)
Choose where you want to place your backdrop and hang 2-3 command hooks across the top of the area
String your rope or thick string between the command hooks (looping or tying them to each hook for extra stability)
Start to simply hang your strips and streamers over the rope! Vary your colors and textures throughout the entire width of the rope.
Fill the width of the rope up with your pieces until you can no longer see the wall or just until you’re happy with your backdrop!
Add layers such as fun string, paper fans, balloons, a “happy birthday” banner, etc over the back-drop and ta-da!
