Dried Grapefruit Garland

Quick post for a long project! Don’t start this garland unless you plan to be home for 4 hours! It takes patience for these citrus slices to dry out perfectly BUT having patience is the hardest part of this project! Here’s how you do it! (Note: you can use any citrus and don’t forget to check out my reel on Instagram for a quick video tutorial.)

  • Wash your produce! This step is important because you don’t want to bake the chemicals and wax residue onto these!

  • Preheat oven to 200 degrees

  • Slice your produce as thin and evenly as possible

  • Use a paper towel to blot off excess juice

  • Place a cooling rack on top of a baking sheet and place your slices on top of that

  • Bake for 3-4 hours flipping every 30 min to an hour (note this time can easily vary based on the thickness of your slices)

  • Once your slices look good pierce two holes in each slice and thread your garland twine or string through each piece!
