DIY RAINBOWS

IMG_0103.jpg

Step 1: Cut and arrange three pieces of twine into the rainbow shape and size that you would like. (It’s easier to start smaller!)

Step 2: Start wrapping each piece of twine in yarn. Leave a space at the end of each piece (as pictured). Make sure to dot some hot glue onto the ends of each piece of yarn and wrap as tight as possible.

Step 3: Once each piece of twine is covered simply shape and hot glue all three layers together! Make sure to hold it firmly in place for about 30 seconds while it sets and ta-da! Add string and it’s ready!

These cute rainbows are a great fairly simple and inexpensive DIY! I love popping these out as ornaments, gift toppers, banner decorations and party favors.

Feel free to make whatever size you please! Mine in this post are all about five inches in height but I never get exact measurements! I do however suggest making smaller ones while you get the hang of it as they’re quick and form better. Happy rainbow making!

SUPPLIES:

A variety of yarn, jute twine (I got this one for this DIY: Jute twine), scissors, hot glue gun
